Guns N’ Roses Hits the Billions Club on Spotify: Celebrating “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door”

Guns N’ Roses has achieved another milestone on Spotify with their song “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door” entering the exclusive Billions Club. This track, featured on their 1991 album Use Your Illusion II, marks the band’s fifth song to reach this impressive milestone on the streaming platform. Joining other popular hits like “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” “Welcome To The Jungle,” “Paradise City,” and “November Rain,” “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door” has solidified its place in the band’s discography.

Originally written by Bob Dylan for the 1973 film Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid, Guns N’ Roses included their official version of the song on Use Your Illusion II after releasing it in different formats. The band first shared a live version of the track as a b-side to “Welcome To The Jungle” in 1987, followed by a studio version for the Days of Thunder soundtrack in 1990. The song has remained a fan favorite and will be a staple in their upcoming 2026 world tour.

In addition to the news of their highly anticipated tour, Guns N’ Roses made a comeback with two new singles, “Nothin” and “Atlas,” their first new music since 2023. These releases come on the heels of the deluxe Live Era ’87-’93 box set, which features remastered audio and updated artwork. The band’s global tour will kick off in Monterrey, Mexico on March 28, followed by shows in Brazil, Florida, Europe, the UK, and North America, including stops at iconic venues like the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles.
