Vincent D’Onofrio Addresses Kingpin's Absence in MCU Spider-Man Movie

Vincent D’Onofrio, known for his role as Kingpin/Wilson Fisk in Marvel Television’s Daredevil: Born Again, has addressed the possibility of Kingpin appearing in a Spider-Man movie. Despite Kingpin's history as a Spider-Man adversary in Marvel Comics, D’Onofrio confirmed that the character will not be featured in the upcoming MCU Spider-Man movie, Spider-Man: Brand New Day. He expressed his willingness to wait until Marvel has the rights to his character for potential future appearances in movies. D’Onofrio previously discussed the challenges of using his character in films due to ownership issues, indicating that he is currently only available for television series. Marvel Studios’ Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is set to premiere on Disney+ on March 24, 2026, while Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled for release on July 31, 2026.
