Isiah McDonald: Strength and Conditioning Coach for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRaiders
A talented individual from Vancouver, raised in Grand Forks, and now residing in Kelowna, is making strides towards a major career opportunity. Isiah McDonald has been appointed as the strength and conditioning coach for the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRaiders, the Triple-A affiliate of the New York Yankees. With five seasons under his belt in the Yankees organization, McDonald has garnered recognition for his exceptional work, including winning the Strength & Conditioning Coach of the Year award during his time with the FCL Yankees in his debut year in professional baseball. His experience extends to serving in the same capacity for the Hudson Valley Renegades in 2023 and the Double-A Somerset Patriots in the last two years. McDonald's educational background includes playing post-secondary baseball at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops and graduating from UBC with a degree in kinesiology and exercise science.
The announcement of the team's staffing roles, made on Thursday, February 5, revealed the return of former MLB player Shelley Duncan as the manager of the RailRiders.
