Khloe Lemon Leads California Baptist University to Victory Over Abilene Christian: A Thrilling Showdown at Moody Coliseum

Khloe Lemon showcased her skills at Moody Coliseum in Abilene, Texas, leading the California Baptist University women's basketball team to a thrilling 74-71 victory over Abilene Christian. Lemon's impressive performance included sinking six 3-pointers and scoring a game-high 25 points. The win avenged the Lancers' only conference loss and handed Abilene Christian their first home loss of the season. With this victory, California Baptist widened their lead in the conference standings.
Lemon's stellar shooting helped the Lancers close the first half with an 8-0 run, giving them a 40-33 lead at halftime. However, a slow start in the third quarter allowed Abilene Christian to go on a 17-0 run and take a 50-40 lead. Lemon's clutch 3-pointer ended the scoring drought for CBU, but they still faced a 58-49 deficit entering the fourth quarter.
In a dramatic final period, California Baptist mounted a comeback with a 16-4 run to regain the lead. Lemon's timely 3-pointer tied the game at 62, and Filipa Barros' shot from behind the arc put CBU ahead. The Lancers held on to secure the victory, with Lemon sealing the win with another 3-pointer.
Olsen contributed 16 points, and Barros added 12 points and six steals for CBU. Lemon also stood out with seven rebounds. Abilene Christian's Emma Troxell and Payton Hull led their team with 22 and 19 points, respectively.
The two teams will face off again on March 5 at Moody Coliseum for the rubber match of the season series. California Baptist will return home for a three-game homestand against Southern Utah, Utah Tech, and Utah Valley.
