Uncovering the Truth: The Michael Jackson Child Molestation Trial Revisited

Michael Jackson's 2005 child molestation trial is revisited by former prosecutor Ron Zonen in a new Channel 4 television series called "The Trial." Zonen, a lead prosecutor in the case, maintains his belief that Jackson was a pedophile who escaped justice despite being acquitted of all charges. The trial involved allegations of molestation, providing alcohol to a minor, and conspiracy, but Jackson was cleared of all 14 criminal counts. Zonen attributes Jackson's acquittal to his fame and public image as a child-loving entertainer, which he believes influenced the jury's decision. The prosecutor also suggests that the outcome could have been different if Wade Robson and James Safechuck had come forward with their allegations earlier. Both Robson and Safechuck denied any abuse during the trial. The series features insights from a juror, Raymond Hultman, who still believes Jackson was a child molester but had to give him the benefit of the doubt. Zonen points to Jackson's admission of sharing his bed with children as crucial evidence in the case. Jackson's legal team disputes Zonen's claims, with family attorney Brian Oxman calling the case a financial "shake down" and asserting Jackson's innocence. "The Trial" airs in two episodes on Channel 4 on February 11 and 12.
