12th Annual Super 5 Sunday: Runners Unite for a Cause on Super Bowl Sunday!
Join us for the 12th Annual Super 5 Sunday, formerly known as the Super Sunday Road Race, happening on Super Bowl Sunday this year! This volunteer-produced event is designed by runners for runners, offering a fantastic course for participants. Runners can look forward to receiving a Tech Shirt, Race swag, and Age Group Awards. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or just starting your fitness journey, there's an event for everyone with options including a 1 Mile, 5K, and 5 Mile race. All registration proceeds will support the LCRC Summer youth Program, which includes free 1-mile fun runs for kids aged 14 and under. The course runs along Sonoma Ranch Blvd, with the stunning Organ Mountains as a backdrop, providing a flat and fast route with minimal elevation gain.
The events will kick off from the north lane of the Southernmost entrance gate to Centennial High School. The 1 Mile race will start at 8:30 a.m. with chip timing, while the 5K and 5 Mile races will begin at 9:00 a.m. and also feature chip timing. The racecourse will close at 11 a.m. for all events. Participants will receive a Bib, and paid participants will also get a t-shirt (not guaranteed after 1/12). Event Parking, Registration, and Start/Finish areas are conveniently located at Centennial High School South Parking Lot. Access the event from the South at University Ave / Dripping Springs Rd and Sonoma Ranch Blvd. The road course will be closed on Sonoma Ranch Blvd to Lohman Ave from the south entrance of CHS.
