Rocking Southampton: Frank Ferrer's New Band Takes the Stage at The Brook

Former Guns N' Roses drummer Frank Ferrer has recently joined a new rock band based in the UK. The band, which is yet to be named, made their debut at The Brook in Southampton. This marked the first time all five members performed together on stage. Venue promoter Paul Williams expressed excitement about the band's performance, stating that it elevates Southampton's music scene.

The collaboration between Ferrer and the UK-based band came about after guitarist Brett Smith-Daniels reached out to Ferrer following a conversation with Matt Sorum, Ferrer's predecessor in Guns N' Roses. Smith-Daniels sought advice from Sorum, who suggested contacting Ferrer. After a brief phone call, Ferrer and the band decided to work together. Ferrer, who parted ways with Guns N' Roses in 2025 after nearly two decades, welcomed the opportunity to play with new musicians in the UK.

Ferrer mentioned his interest in playing in smaller venues and connecting with audiences on a more intimate level. He appreciated the party atmosphere and good times that come with performing in smaller crowds. The band, consisting of Russell Marsden, Chris Payn, and Stefan Bielik, has upcoming gigs scheduled in Cambridge and London. The hope is that their performances will attract more prominent acts to Southampton, further enriching the local music scene.

The debut gig featuring Frank Ferrer and the new UK-based rock band at The Brook in Southampton marked an exciting beginning for the collaboration. With Ferrer's experience and the band's fresh energy, they are poised to make a significant impact on the music scene. Stay tuned for more updates on their upcoming performances and follow their journey on social media platforms.
