The Artful Dodger: Season 2 - A Dickensian Drama Returns to Disney Plus
A popular period drama based on a classic literary work has made a comeback with a second season, featuring both new and familiar characters. The latest episodes of The Artful Dodger are now available on Disney Plus, set in 1850s Australia and following the story of Jack Dawkins, also known as the artful dodger, from Charles Dickens' Oliver Twist. The series explores Jack's life 15 years later, where he has transformed into a successful surgeon but is drawn back into a life of crime when his past catches up with him through his former mentor Norbert Fagin.
Leading the cast is Thomas Brodie-Sangster as Jack Dawkins, known for his roles in Love Actually, Game of Thrones, and The Maze Runner trilogy. David Thewlis returns as Fagin, with previous credits including Harry Potter and Wonder Woman. Maia Mitchell reprises her role as Lady Belle Fox, while Tim Minchin returns as Darius Cracksworth. Newcomer Luke Bracey joins the cast as Inspector Henry Boxer, replacing Captain Gaines from the first season.
