Donald Kinsella Appointed as New U.S. Attorney for Northern District of New York

The Northern District of New York Board of Judges has selected Donald Kinsella as the new U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of New York, succeeding John Sarcone III. Kinsella brings over 50 years of experience in criminal and civil litigation, having worked on various high-profile federal and state cases. He has previously held roles as an assistant U.S. attorney, criminal chief for the Department of Justice, and president of the Federal Court Bar Association of the Northern District of New York.
Donald Kinsella was sworn in as the new U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of New York in a private ceremony. John Sarcone III, who previously held the position, has transitioned to the role of First Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of New York after being denied a full-time appointment as U.S. attorney by the board of judges in July.
