Empowering Diversity in Dance Music: The Return of The Femmy Awards at Miami Music Week 2026

The Femmy Awards are set to make a return during Miami Music Week, organized by Femme House, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting diversity in dance music. The event will take place at Miami's Palm Tree Club on Thursday, March 26, at noon ET. The Femmys aim to recognize individuals in the music scene who have made significant contributions to the genre, expanded representation, and supported others.

Anja Schneider will be honored with The Pioneer Award for her groundbreaking work in reshaping the dance and electronic music industries. Ultra Naté will receive the Voice of House award for her defining vocal contributions to dance music, while Tokimonsta will be recognized as the producer of the year for her innovative and influential work. John Summit will receive the Ally Award for his impactful allyship in supporting Femme House.

The Femmys have partnered with Palm Tree Club, Extraordinary Heroes, and Insomniac Discovery Project for the 2026 edition. The event will follow the release of Femme House's collaborative compilation series with Insomniac Records, LP Giobbi x Insomniac Records Present: Femme House Volume 3, which highlights women, gender-expansive, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+ artists in electronic music.

Femme House and Insomniac Discovery Project hosted a contest earlier this year, with Majesty of Divinity winning the opportunity to be featured on the compilation, act as the Femme House Miami Music Fellow, and perform at the Femmys and Women In Music Brunch. The Femmy Awards aim to celebrate and honor the work of individuals who are shaping the future of music and opening doors for others.

The inaugural Femmy Awards raised over $30,000 to support Femme House's educational programming for aspiring producers and DJs. The event serves as a platform to recognize and uplift women and LGBTQIA+ creatives in the music industry, highlighting the importance of diversity and inclusion in shaping the future of music.
