UConn Women's Basketball Dominates Creighton with 94-44 Victory: Strong and Fudd Lead the Charge

UConn women's basketball dominated the Creighton Bluejays with a 94-44 victory at Gampel Pavilion, fueled by the return of Sarah Strong and a stellar performance by Azzi Fudd. Strong contributed 16 points, three rebounds, and three assists, while Fudd added 19 points, four rebounds, and four assists. Allie Ziebell led the team with 20 points, Ashlynn Shade had 13 points, five rebounds, three steals, and two assists, and Kayleigh Heckel chipped in with 13 points and four assists.

Creighton initially kept pace with UConn, hitting early 3-pointers to briefly take the lead. However, Strong's offensive prowess helped the Huskies establish a lead in the first quarter. In the second quarter, UConn pulled away with impressive runs and entered halftime with a 42-24 lead.

After halftime, UConn stifled Creighton's offense, holding them to just seven points in the third quarter. The Huskies went on a scoring spree, including a 17-0 run to close out the quarter. UConn's bench players maintained the lead in the fourth quarter, securing a 50-point victory, their largest margin against Creighton.

The win extended UConn's undefeated record to 26-0 overall and 15-0 in the Big East conference. With only five regular-season games remaining, the Huskies are gearing up for their next challenge against Marquette on the road. Tip-off is scheduled for Saturday at 1 p.m. ET.
