The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event: Meet the Cast and Characters
Sony Pictures has released a sneak peek at the upcoming film project "The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event" directed by Sam Mendes. The movie will feature actors Paul Mescal, Barry Keoghan, Harris Dickinson, and Joseph Quinn in the lead roles. The casting of these actors was announced at CinemaCon 2025, and the first-look images show Mescal as Paul McCartney, Keoghan as Ringo Starr, Quinn as George Harrison, and Dickinson as John Lennon.
Production has already started on the four films, each focusing on a different member of the iconic band. The star-studded cast includes Saoirse Ronan as Linda McCartney, Anna Sawai as Yoko Ono, Aimee Lou Wood as Pattie Boyd, and Mia McKenna-Bruce as Maureen Starkey. Harry Lloyd will play George Martin, and James Norton will portray Brian Epstein in the cinematic event.
The movies will chronicle the rise of The Beatles from their humble beginnings in Liverpool in the 1960s to becoming the biggest band in the world before their breakup in 1970. This project marks the first time that the band members or their families have granted music rights for feature films about their lives. "The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event" is set to premiere in theaters in April 2028.
