Netflix subscribers will soon lose access to the R-rated horror flick Brightburn as it is scheduled to be removed from the platform on March 1, 2026. The movie, which first hit theaters in May 2019, was produced by James Gunn and Kenneth Huang, with a screenplay by Brian Gunn and Mark Gunn.
The storyline revolves around Tori and Kyle Breyer, a couple who adopt a baby boy discovered inside a mysterious spacecraft after struggling to conceive. They raise the child, Brandon, believing him to be special in a positive way. However, as Brandon matures, ominous changes begin to manifest. He develops formidable abilities and begins using them in a dangerous manner, endangering those around him and forcing his parents to confront the unsettling truth about their adopted son.
Elizabeth Banks stars as Tori Breyer, alongside David Denman as her husband Kyle. The cast also includes Jackson A. Dunn as Brandon Breyer / Brightburn, Meredith Hagner as Merilee McNichol, Matt Jones as Noah McNichol, and Gregory Alan Williams as Sheriff Jerrold Deever, among others.
