The upcoming Green Lanterns series, Lanterns, has unveiled its official logo ahead of its anticipated release later this year. The superhero show, part of the DC Universe: Chapter 1 – Gods and Monsters lineup, will focus on the relationship between veteran Green Lantern Corps member Hal Jordan and new recruit John Stewart. The logo features a prominent green hue, reflecting the signature color of the main characters' superhero attire and abilities.
Fans were treated to a sneak peek of the series when James Gunn shared a photo of Aaron Pierre as John Stewart and Kyle Chandler as Hal Jordan on social media on February 27, 2025, confirming that the show was in production. The first teaser trailer was unveiled at the HBO Max Upfront event in São Paulo, Brazil, showcasing Stewart and Jordan without their Green Lantern uniforms.
A brief clip from Lanterns was included in HBO Max's teaser for their 2026 slate, offering glimpses of the series and featuring a voiceover of Stewart expressing his dedication to becoming a Green Lantern. The show, co-created by Chris Mundy, Damon Lindelof, and Tom King, draws inspiration from the crime drama True Detective as Jordan and Stewart embark on a murder investigation in Nebraska.
Lanterns is scheduled to premiere in late summer 2026, although an exact release date has not been announced.
