The Smack: Concourse Media Secures Key Territories for Star-Studded Heist Thriller
Concourse Media, based in Los Angeles, has secured important territories in Berlin for the upcoming heist thriller film, The Smack, featuring a star-studded cast including Casey Affleck, Sam Rockwell, Kathy Bates, and Marisa Tomei. Wild Bunch has acquired the film for Germany, Italy, Austria, and Switzerland, with deals also finalized in Spain, Scandinavia, the Middle East, South Korea, CIS and Baltics, Poland, Israel, and Greece. Concourse CEO Matt Shreder is currently in discussions for the remaining territories. The Smack, set to start production later this year, is produced by Keith Kjarval, Sam Rockwell, Mark Berger, and Andrea Bucko.
In The Smack, Casey Affleck portrays a conman who partners with a casino waitress to steal a stash of stolen military cash, facing challenges from other criminals pursuing the same loot. The film is directed by David M. Rosenthal, who co-wrote the screenplay with Keith Kjarval based on Richard Lange's novel of the same name. Concourse Media holds the worldwide rights to the film, with Archetype Media Finance providing financing for the project.
