Arizona Women's Basketball Falls Short Against Colorado in Close Game

Junior guard Sumayah Sugapong put up 14 points and 2 steals before fouling out, while graduate student guard Mickayla Perdue had to end her season due to a wrist injury.
The game saw a back-and-forth battle, with Arizona tying the score multiple times. Graduate student guard Noelani Cornfield made key plays to keep the Wildcats in the game, including a game-tying layup in the third quarter. Cornfield’s three-pointer at the buzzer gave Arizona a slim lead heading into the final quarter.
In the fourth quarter, Arizona went on a 6-0 run to take a 67-60 lead, but Colorado responded with a run of their own. The Buffaloes managed to pull ahead and secure the victory with a 12-1 run to close out the game.
