Roku Appoints Patrick Harris as Senior VP of Global Media Revenue: Driving Growth and Performance in Advertising

Roku has appointed Patrick Harris as the new Senior Vice President of Global Media Revenue. With a background in tech leadership roles at Snap and Facebook/Meta, Harris brings 25 years of experience to his new position. He will be based in New York and will report to Roku Media President Charlie Collier, starting on March 9. The role became available when Jay Askinasi left for Paramount last fall.
Harris will be responsible for overseeing the growth and performance of ad revenue at Roku, working closely with senior executives across various departments such as advertising, product, engineering, marketing, and measurement. His extensive experience includes leading sales teams at Snap as President, Americas, and serving as VP of Global Channels at Meta (Facebook). Prior to that, he spent time at Microsoft, where he played a key role in driving search ad revenue for the Bing search engine.
Collier expressed confidence in Harris's ability to drive measurable brand performance and lower-funnel marketer outcomes, citing his proven track record in building and scaling high-performing teams. Harris, in turn, highlighted Roku's assets, momentum, and the opportunity to make a significant impact in the industry during a transformative period.
Roku's platform business, which generates revenue primarily from advertising, has been performing well, with the company reporting better-than-expected earnings for the fourth quarter and a positive financial outlook for 2026. Harris's appointment is expected to further strengthen partnerships with clients and accelerate Roku's CTV strategy, leveraging his strategic instincts and collaborative leadership style.
