Detroit Tigers Unveil Vibrant New Alternate Uniforms for 2026 Season

The Detroit Tigers have revealed their new alternate uniforms for the upcoming 2026 season. The team introduced an orange home jersey featuring the iconic Olde English "D" logo and a modern twist on the classic Tigers emblem from the 1968 and 1984 World Series teams. The uniform set includes a matching cap with an orange "D" and bill. On the road, the Tigers will sport a navy blue jersey with the traditional orange "Detroit" script. These new uniforms will be worn during Friday night home games and select away games.
Fans can get their hands on the new merchandise at The D Shop, which will have special hours on Friday and Saturday. The team's president, Ryan Gustafson, expressed pride in the new uniforms, emphasizing the importance of fan feedback in the design process. The team aimed to be more creative with merchandise, draw inspiration from the 1984 team's uniforms, and embrace the color orange.
In the previous two seasons, the Tigers donned their "City Connect" uniforms, featuring a dark blue design with "Motor City" emblazoned across the front. These uniforms paid homage to Detroit's history and automotive industry. The new alternate uniforms mark a fresh chapter for the Tigers, blending tradition with a modern aesthetic. Fans can look forward to seeing the team take the field in these vibrant and stylish jerseys in the upcoming season.
