Marvel's First Family and Steve Rogers: Unveiling the Deleted Post-Credits Scene and Its Impact on the MCU

New details have emerged about a deleted post-credits scene related to Marvel's First Family and Steve Rogers. The scrapped sequence from The Fantastic Four: First Steps would have featured the Fantastic Four seeking Steve's help with a multiversal problem, which now ties into upcoming events in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel repurposed this scene for Avengers: Doomsday, where Steve Rogers, Peggy Carter, and their son reside on Earth-828. Chris Evans' return as Steve Rogers was first revealed in December 2024, with directors Anthony and Joe Russo emphasizing his central role in the Avengers narrative. In Avengers: Doomsday, the Fantastic Four and Doom ask Steve Rogers to join them in Earth-616 to gain the heroes' trust, hinting at a subplot involving Thor, Steve, and Loki. Doom also has his own "Black Order" of witches and wizards working for him. The film is set to be released on December 18, 2026.
