Pressure: The Untold Story of D-Day Starring Brendan Fraser and Andrew Scott

Brendan Fraser and Andrew Scott star in a new film called Pressure, which tells the untold story of World War II and D-Day. Fraser plays General Dwight D. Eisenhower, who must make the crucial decision of when to launch the Allied forces' invasion of Normandy on June 6, 1944. Meanwhile, Scott portrays Capt. James Stagg, a British meteorologist responsible for providing Eisenhower with accurate weather forecasts to ensure the success of the seaborne invasion. The movie follows the tense 72 hours leading up to D-Day, where Eisenhower and Stagg face the difficult choice of launching the risky invasion or risking losing the war altogether.
The cast of Pressure also includes Kerry Condon, Chris Messina, and Damian Lewis. Lewis, known for his role in Band of Brothers, plays a senior English military officer who warns Eisenhower and Stagg about the consequences of canceling or failing the Normandy invasion. Stagg, a British Met Office meteorologist, accurately predicted a storm on June 5, 1944, which led Eisenhower to delay the invasion to June 6, ultimately changing the course of history.
Directed by Anthony Maras, Pressure is set to hit theaters on May 29, just ahead of the 82nd anniversary of D-Day. The film explores the critical decisions made by Eisenhower and Stagg during the lead-up to the Normandy invasions, which played a pivotal role in turning the tide of World War II in favor of the Allies. Don't miss this gripping historical drama that sheds light on the challenges faced by these key figures during one of the most significant events of the war.
