USC Trojans Coaching Staff Changes: Aoki's Move to Alabama and Savage's Promotion

The USC Trojans have experienced some changes in their coaching staff during the offseason, particularly on the defensive side. However, the offensive coaching staff remained intact until Brad Aoki, an offensive analyst, accepted a new role as a pass game specialist with the Alabama Crimson Tide. Aoki, a former walk-on quarterback for USC, has quickly transitioned into coaching after graduating in 2021 and has gained valuable experience under coaches like Lincoln Riley and Jay Norvell.
Aoki's move to Alabama presents a significant opportunity for him to continue his coaching development under the guidance of coach Kalen DeBoer. With his background in working with quarterbacks, Aoki will now have the chance to work with talented quarterbacks like Austin Mack and Keelon Russell at Alabama. Additionally, he will be coaching a strong wide receiver duo in Ryan Williams and Noah Rogers, enhancing his coaching portfolio even further.
While Aoki's departure is a loss for USC, the Trojans were able to retain tight ends/inside wide receivers coach Chad Savage, who was promoted to pass game coordinator alongside his positional coaching responsibilities. Despite receiving interest from other schools, Savage opted to stay with USC, providing continuity and stability to the offensive coaching staff. USC fans can look forward to seeing how the coaching staff continues to evolve under the leadership of Lincoln Riley.
