A man has been indicted by a Harford County grand jury in connection with a fatal crash that occurred last year, resulting in the death of a teenager. John Anthony Gaeta Jr. faces charges of negligent vehicular manslaughter, criminally negligent vehicular manslaughter, and two counts of second-degree assault. The indictment is related to a collision that took place on September 18, 2025, on North Fountain Green Road near Crescent Knoll Drive, involving two students from C. Milton Wright High School. The incident occurred when a vehicle rear-ended the car carrying 16-year-old Blake Elliott and its 17-year-old driver as they were stopped to make a left turn. The impact of the crash caused their vehicle to be pushed into the path of a school bus.

According to investigators, the at-fault vehicle struck the victims from behind at a high speed, leading to the tragic death of Blake and injuries to the driver, who was subsequently transported to a hospital for treatment.
