Is God Is: A Revenge Thriller Film Based on Aleshea Harris' Acclaimed Play
Amazon, MGM Studios, and Orion Pictures have released the trailer for “Is God Is,” a film based on Aleshea Harris’ play of the same name. The movie follows twin sisters, one of whom bears disfiguring burn scars, as they are tasked by their mother to seek revenge on their abusive father. As they navigate their decision, they encounter a range of intriguing characters before confronting their father, known as ‘The Monster’. The cast includes Kara Young, Mallori Johnson, Vivica A. Fox, Erika Alexander, Mykelti Williamson, Janelle Monáe, and Sterling K. Brown. The play received critical acclaim, and the film adaptation is set to hit theaters on May 15th. Tessa Thompson, Kishori Rajan, Riva Marker, Janicza Bravo, and Aleshea Harris serve as producers for the film.
