Man Arrested for Crashing Car into Brisbane Synagogue Gates: Premier Expresses Concern
A man has been arrested for allegedly crashing his car into the gates of the Brisbane Synagogue. Premier David Crisafulli expressed his concern over the incident, stating that it would be distressing for the Jewish community in Queensland. The 32-year-old suspect is set to appear in court today. The incident occurred when a black ute struck and damaged the gates of the Brisbane Synagogue on Margaret Street in the CBD. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The police apprehended the suspect shortly after the incident, and he is facing charges of wilful damage, serious vilification or hate crime, dangerous operation of a vehicle, and drug offenses. The Premier emphasized the seriousness of the incident and the need for proposed hate laws to be passed in parliament.
