The Ocean House, dating back to 1868, was restored by Greenwich resident Charles Royce and his wife, Deborah, as part of their historic preservation projects. The property was at risk of being subdivided for large single-family homes before Royce intervened and invested over $140 million in its renovation. Today, the Ocean House is the only AAA Five Diamond and Forbes Five-Star hotel in Rhode Island.
