Huntr/x Trio Stuns Audience at BAFTA Film Awards with 'Golden' Performance
EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami, the talented singers from the popular group Huntr/x featured in the film "KPop Demon Hunters," wowed the audience at the BAFTA Film Awards with a lively performance of their hit song "Golden." This marked the first time the track was performed outside the U.S., showcasing the film's international success despite not being eligible for a BAFTA Award.
Chase Infiniti, a known fan of Huntr/x, enthusiastically sang along from the audience as EJAE, Nuna, and Ami took the stage in stylish outfits of red, brown, and gold, accompanied by a group of dancers. The performance kicked off with EJAE's solo vocals before Nuna and Ami joined in from different parts of the venue, engaging the crowd as they made their way to the BAFTA stage.
Although the trio was invited to perform at the prestigious event, BAFTA determined that "KPop Demon Hunters" did not meet the necessary criteria for the Film Awards due to its lack of a qualifying theatrical release. Despite Netflix's formal appeal, arguing that the film's later theatrical run should be considered under exceptional circumstances, BAFTA ultimately rejected the claim.
Nevertheless, the BAFTA organizers embraced the opportunity to showcase Huntr/x's talent at the ceremony, much to the delight of the attendees. The electrifying performance of "Golden" added a touch of stardust to the event, leaving a lasting impression on all those in attendance.
