THON at Penn State: Breaking Fundraising Records and Making a Difference in the Fight Against Childhood Cancer

Penn State's THON achieved a new fundraising milestone this year by raising a record-breaking $18,841,726.53. This total exceeded last year's amount by more than $1 million. Among the commonwealth campuses, Penn State Harrisburg contributed over $38,000, ranking fourth in fundraising efforts. The 46-hour dance marathon, held on Penn State's campus, is an annual event that generates millions of dollars to aid in the battle against childhood cancer. Since its inception in 1973, THON has raised over $250 million, solidifying its status as the largest student-run philanthropy globally.
