Ateez's Golden Hour: Pt. 4 Makes Billboard History, Matching BTS's Success

BTS has long been the most successful K-pop group in American history, but after a hiatus, their lead has diminished. Ateez, another all-male vocal group from the K-pop scene, has matched BTS's success with their new EP, Golden Hour: Pt. 4, debuting at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 with 200,500 equivalent units.

While Ateez's achievement would have secured them the top spot in many other weeks, they were surpassed by J. Cole's The Fall-Off and Bad Bunny's Debí Tirar Más Fotos. This marks Ateez's eighth top 10 win on the Billboard 200, putting them on par with BTS and Stray Kids for the most top 10s by a K-pop artist.

Ateez's success extends beyond the Billboard 200, as Golden Hour: Pt. 4 also claims the No. 1 spot on the World Albums and Top Album Sales charts in the U.S. The EP sold 195,000 copies, outperforming J. Cole's sales on the Top Album Sales chart. Ateez now has six No. 1s and nine top 10s on the Top Album Sales chart and a total of 10 No. 1s on the World Albums list, solidifying their place among the top K-pop acts in the industry.
