Trader Joe’s Chicken Fried Rice and Yakitori Chicken Recall: Glass Contamination Alert

Check your freezer for Trader Joe’s Chicken Fried Rice and Yakitori Chicken with Japanese Style Rice products. Ajinomoto Foods North America Inc. is recalling nearly 3.4 million pounds of frozen chicken fried rice products due to possible glass contamination. The recall affects products sold at Trader Joe’s stores in the U.S. and Canada. The affected items have best by dates ranging from September 8 through November 17, 2026, and are stamped with establishment number P 18356 inside the USDA inspection mark. Additionally, six pack boxes of Yakitori Chicken with Japanese Style Rice with best by dates from September 9 to November 12, 2026, were recalled in Canada. The recall was initiated after four customers reported finding glass in the product, although no injuries have been reported. Consumers are urged not to consume the products and to either dispose of them or return them to the store for a refund.
