Dame Prue Leith's Weight Loss Journey with Mounjaro: A Candid Reflection

Renowned television chef Dame Prue Leith shared her experience with the weight loss injection Mounjaro, revealing that she did not see any weight loss results despite trying it for a month. Her husband, John Playfair, on the other hand, had significant success with the treatment, losing three stone and improving his health.
Although Dame Prue found the treatment ineffective for her, she still believes it is worth trying, inspired by her husband's positive outcome. She admitted that her failure to follow the instructions properly may have been the reason for the lack of results, as she unintentionally consumed only around 200 calories per day, putting her body into "starvation mode."
Reflecting on her experience, Dame Prue concluded that she does not feel the need to continue using the weight loss injection, considering it expensive and ineffective for her. She also discussed her unconventional diet during her time on the Great British Bake Off, where she maintained her weight despite indulging in cake and red wine.
Recently, Dame Prue announced her decision to step down as a judge on the baking competition show after nine years, citing the summer filming schedule as a reason. She expressed her fondness for the show but mentioned that she wants to prioritize holidays in Europe. Cookbook author Nigella Lawson was chosen as her replacement, a decision that Dame Prue fully supports.
Dame Prue's extensive career spans six decades, including judging Great British Menu and her involvement in food education. She was honored with a damehood in 2021 for her contributions to food, broadcasting, and charity.
