Portland Trail Blazers Guard Shaedon Sharpe Out 4-6 Weeks with Stress Reaction in Left Fibula

Portland Trail Blazers guard Shaedon Sharpe will be sidelined for 4-6 weeks due to a stress reaction in his left fibula, as announced by the team. The 22-year-old, who signed a lucrative contract extension last summer, initially thought he had a left calf strain during a game against the Memphis Grizzlies on Feb. 2. However, further tests revealed a more serious injury. If Sharpe is cleared to return after six weeks, he could be back on the court in the second week of April.

In the current season, Sharpe has been performing exceptionally well, averaging a career-high 21.4 points, along with 4.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.4 steals per game. His shooting percentages stand at 34.0 percent from three-point range, 45.6 percent from the field, and 78.4 percent from the free throw line.

The Blazers will have to navigate through a significant portion of the season without Sharpe's contributions on the court. However, his recovery and eventual return will be eagerly awaited by the team and fans alike.
