Rush Announces Fifty Something Tour: A Tribute to Neil Peart and 50 Years of Music
Rush is set to make a comeback in 2026 with their Fifty Something Tour, their first major tour since the passing of drummer Neil Peart. Co-founders Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson have announced a series of shows across Canada, the United States, and Mexico, with the initial 22 shows selling out quickly. The tour has now expanded to include 58 concerts in 24 cities, with over 500,000 tickets sold.
Reflecting on their decision to return to the stage, Lee and Lifeson shared that the turning point came in 2022 when they performed with Dave Grohl at a tribute concert for Taylor Hawkins. Each concert on the tour will follow an "evening with" format, featuring two sets per night with a rotating selection of over 40 songs, including both popular hits and lesser-known tracks. Anika Nilles will join Lee and Lifeson on drums, while keyboardist Loren Gold will also be part of the lineup.
