Trader Joe's Frozen Chicken Fried Rice Recall: Protecting Your Safety

When you visit Trader Joe's for some frozen meals, you want to ensure that your food is safe to eat. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has issued a recall on over 3 million pounds of frozen chicken fried rice due to potential contamination with glass pieces. The distributor, Ajinomoto Foods North America, Inc., has recalled its Ajinomoto Yakitori Chicken with Japanese-Style Fried Rice and Trader Joe's Chicken Fried Rice products. These products were sold at Trader Joe's locations across the U.S. and in Canada. It is important to note that the Ajinomoto Yakitori-branded fried rice is also available at Costco and other stores, but those batches have not been recalled.
Consuming glass can lead to serious injuries such as cuts in the mouth, tongue, cheeks, lips, and gums, resulting in heavy bleeding. It can also cause broken teeth and internal bleeding if the glass cuts the stomach lining. If you have purchased the recalled items, return them to the store for a full refund or dispose of them immediately. It is crucial to ensure your safety and avoid any potential harm from contaminated food.
Remember to prioritize your well-being and take necessary precautions when dealing with food recalls. Your health and safety should always come first.
