American Football Releases New Track 'Bad Moons' from Upcoming Self-Titled Album

American Football has released a new eight-minute track titled "Bad Moons" from their upcoming self-titled album, set to be released on May 1. The song combines two separate demos into a reflection on aging and responsibility, blending innocence with despair. The album, produced by Sonny DiPerri, is described as the band's most ambitious work yet, featuring layered and dissonant sounds.

The music video for "Bad Moons," directed by Alex Acy and Rémi Belleville, explores themes of empathy and growing up, drawing parallels between rural Canada and the Midwest. The band, known for their influential sound, will embark on a world tour in 2026 to support the new album, starting in Denver on May 15 and concluding in Minneapolis on Aug. 16.
