Phil Collins has been nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist for the first time, joining other potential inductees like Oasis, Jeff Buckley, Lauryn Hill, Pink, Shakira, and Mariah Carey. Collins, known for hits like "In the Air Tonight" and "Against All Odds (Take A Look At Me Now)," was previously inducted as a member of Genesis in 2010. This year, he is one of 17 performers nominated for inclusion.

Among the nominees are first-time contenders like Buckley, Hill, Pink, and Shakira, while Oasis and Carey are making their third attempts. The Wu-Tang Clan is also on the list of nominees. Collins, at 75, remains a popular choice due to his timeless music and recent health struggles, which he candidly discussed in a recent interview.
