Phishy Purim Party: Rock and Roll Playhouse Celebrates Purim at Brooklyn Bowl
The Rock and Roll Playhouse is hosting its annual Purim celebration at Brooklyn Bowl in New York for the 11th consecutive year. The event, scheduled for Sunday, March 9 at noon, will feature a unique blend of Phish music and the story of Queen Esther. Uncle Ebenezer, a Phish tribute band, will be the house band for the show, while Rabbi Daniel Brenner will narrate the Purim tale. Families are encouraged to join in the festivities, which offer a festive and carnival-like atmosphere akin to Jewish Halloween and Mardi Gras. Attendees are welcome to dress up in costumes, and Uncle Ebenezer will perform a full set of Phish songs. The event will also feature groggers, hamantash, and a selection of books from PJ Library.
The celebration promises to be a fun and engaging experience for both parents and children, combining music, storytelling, and traditional Purim elements. The Rock and Roll Playhouse's Purim event at Brooklyn Bowl offers a unique way to celebrate the holiday while enjoying live music and entertainment. Don't miss this exciting opportunity to join in the festivities and immerse yourself in the spirit of Purim with a Phish-inspired twist.
