Survivor Medical Evacuations: From Severe Burns to Second Chances

Survivor has seen its fair share of contestants being medically evacuated from the game due to various injuries and health concerns. One of the earliest instances was during Survivor: The Australian Outback when Michael Skupin suffered severe burns on his hands after falling into the campfire. He had to be airlifted out for treatment.
In a more recent incident during Survivor 44, Bruce Perreault hit his head during a challenge and started bleeding. Although he initially seemed fine, he later experienced headaches and had to leave the game. However, he was given another chance in a subsequent season and made it to the merge.
These are just a few examples of Survivor contestants who have had to exit the game due to medical reasons. From severe burns to infections and injuries, the challenges of the game can sometimes take a toll on the players' health. Despite these setbacks, some contestants have been given a second chance to compete and prove their resilience on the show.
