The current iteration, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, will cease operations on Monday, March 2, 2026, with the last chance to ride being this Sunday, March 1, 2026. The revamped ride, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, is set to debut in the summer of 2026. The preshow of the current ride has already been modified to lead guests directly to the loading area without any delays. The upcoming Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets will feature a fresh look with a psychedelic makeover for the giant guitar in Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Courtyard. The piano motif at the guitar's base will pay homage to Dr. Teeth's gold tooth with a single gold key. The concept art showcases the building's exterior with a vibrant poster on the wall. Guests will embark on a VIP tour of G-Force Records, where they will witness the Electric Mayhem band facing delays in the recording studio, setting the stage for the new pre-show experience.
Inside the recording booth, guests will encounter animatronic penguin audio engineers alongside Scooter. Miss Piggy and Kermit will make appearances on screens, adding to the immersive Muppets-themed journey. The storyline involves Scooter's uncle, J.P.
