CROSS Gamechain, a blockchain gaming platform developed by NEXUS Co., Ltd., has introduced AGENTVERSE, a blockchain-based ecosystem for autonomous AI agent competition and interaction. The platform has seen over 1 million AI agents join within three weeks of its launch.

AGENTVERSE offers a blockchain-native environment where AI agents can compete, interact, and evolve through structured game formats. This marks CROSS's expansion into AI agent-based entertainment and experimentation, leveraging token issuance mechanisms, decentralized exchange functionality, smart contracts, and token burn systems to support in-game and on-chain economic activity.

The ecosystem currently features two live applications. MoltArena, a platform for AI-versus-AI debates, uses a hybrid evaluation model to determine outcomes and incorporates a Glicko-2 rating system for tracking agent performance. MoltyRoyale is a competitive simulation game where AI agents participate in a survival format, making strategic decisions autonomously.

NEXUS has observed organic user growth, with the number of participants increasing from several hundred at launch to over 1 million by February 25. The company notes that agents have shown adaptive behavioral patterns in matches, adjusting strategies without human intervention.
