Pedro Acosta secured his first MotoGP victory at Buriram, outperforming world champion Marc Marquez in a thrilling race. The KTM rider battled fiercely with Marquez after pole position holder Marco Bezzecchi crashed out early in the race. Acosta and Marquez engaged in a close fight, with Acosta eventually seizing the lead from Marquez on the penultimate lap. Despite a controversial block pass attempt by Marquez, Acosta emerged victorious after the stewards ruled in his favor, forcing Marquez to drop a position. Raul Fernandez claimed third place for Aprilia's Trackhouse team, while Acosta's teammate Brad Binder finished sixth.
