Sharon Osbourne Defends Robbie Williams' Role in Ozzy Osbourne Tribute Band at Brit Awards

Sharon Osbourne has defended her choice of Robbie Williams to lead a super band paying tribute to Ozzy Osbourne at the Brit Awards. The late rock legend will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement award at this year's ceremony in Manchester. Despite some questioning the decision, Sharon believes Robbie is the perfect fit for the role. She praised Robbie's warm and down-to-earth personality, comparing him to her husband Ozzy. The tribute will feature Ozzy's closest friends, including Robbie, performing a special rendition of "No More Tears."
Sharon emphasized the friendship between Robbie and Ozzy, stating that they were mates. She let the musicians choose the songs for the tribute performance, with Robbie being personally invited by Sharon due to his friendship with Ozzy and love for the music. The band will also include musicians who played with Ozzy over the years, such as Adam Wakeman, Robert Trujillo, Tommy Clufetos, and Zakk Wylde. Ozzy passed away last year at the age of 76, shortly after his Back to the Beginning concert.
After the Brits ceremony, Sharon will return to the United States, while Kelly will stay in the UK. Kelly recently decided to spend more time with her family and will split her time between the US and the UK. She is a grandmother to Jack's daughters and Kelly's son, with another grandchild on the way. Jack is preparing to become a father again, and Sharon plans to fly back to help with grandparent duties. Both Kelly and Sharon expressed that Jack was disappointed not to be in the audience for the Brits performance.
