Bad Bunny and Lady Gaga Dominate Music Industry in 2026: Top Boxscore Report Highlights

Bad Bunny and Lady Gaga, who recently shared the stage at the Grammy Awards and the Super Bowl halftime show, are now dominating the music industry as they both secure top spots on the first Boxscore report for 2026. Bad Bunny claims the No. 1 spot on Top Tours, while Lady Gaga shines on Top Boxscores. Bad Bunny's January tour earnings of $62.5 million from eight shows set a new record for the highest January gross since 2019, surpassing Coldplay's previous achievements in the same month.

Bad Bunny's Debí Tirar Más Fotos World Tour kicked off in the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, and Mexico before moving on to South America with successful shows in Santiago, Lima, and Medellin. The tour has already grossed $170.9 million and sold 1.1 million tickets since its launch in November, making it the most lucrative Latin American leg of any Bad Bunny tour to date.

Following his historic wins at the Grammys and the Super Bowl, Bad Bunny's popularity soared, leading to his first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with "DtMF." Lady Gaga, who joined him on stage during the Super Bowl halftime show, also continues to impress with her successful tour, The Mayhem Ball, grossing $296.7 million and selling 1.4 million tickets since its start in Las Vegas.

In January, Gaga's tour earnings in Japan totaled $45.7 million from six shows, securing her first No. 1 spot on the monthly Boxscore ranking. The top five tours of the month also include Eagles, Zac Brown Band, and Ed Sheeran, with earnings exceeding $10 million each. Despite a smaller number of eight-digit earning acts compared to previous years, the collective gross of the top 30 tours in January increased by 11% from the previous year.

The music industry saw a strong start in January, with notable events like the Wildlands Festival in Australia and Beyond the Valley Festival in Melbourne contributing to the overall success of the month. As venues worldwide gradually resume full schedules after the holiday season, the music scene is expected to pick up momentum in the coming months.
