Arc Of Life, a band featuring Jon Davison, Billy Sherwood, and Jay Schellen, emerged in 2021 as an offshoot of the iconic prog band Yes. Their debut album received a mixed response from fans, prompting the band members to focus on their next record rather than dwell on the criticism.

The collaboration between Sherwood and Davison began during the Yestival US tour in 2017, where they started writing songs together on a tour bus.
