Florida State Seminoles Offseason Update: Coaching Changes, Roster Adjustments, and Recruiting News

The Florida State Seminoles have undergone significant changes during the offseason, including new coaching staff and roster adjustments. Assistant wide receivers coach Austin Tucker has been promoted to lead the quarterback room, following Tony Tokarz's departure to Buffalo. The Seminoles have also added new talent to the program, including transfers, a top JUCO recruit, and a four-star high school prospect.

Tucker has built a reputation for his recruiting skills and is now transitioning into an assistant coaching role, focusing on finding the next quarterback for Florida State's #Tribe27. However, one prospect, four-star quarterback Davin Davidson, has decided to explore other options and has narrowed down his choices to eight programs, excluding Florida State from the list.

Davidson, who led his high school team to a state championship, is a highly sought-after prospect with impressive stats. Standing at 6-foot-6.5 and weighing 215 pounds, he is ranked as the No. 191 overall prospect, the No. 18 QB, and the No. 22 recruit in Florida for the 2027 class. Despite Florida State's early offer to Davidson, he has chosen to consider other schools for now.

The Seminoles currently have five verbal commitments in their 2027 class, which is ranked 16th in the country. The commitments include Three-Star TE Connor Winn, Three-Star DE Anthony Cavallaro, Four-Star LB Gregory Batson, Four-Star DB Mekhi Williams, and Three-Star DB Jemari Foreman. Florida State will continue to pursue talented recruits to strengthen their roster for the upcoming seasons.
