Gene Simmons Band: Rock Legends Cruise XIII Performance and Tour Highlights

Gene Simmons and his solo project, Gene Simmons Band, are set to perform on Rock Legends Cruise XIII from February 22–27, 2026, aboard Royal Caribbean’s Liberty of the Seas. The band recently played at the ship’s Platinum Theater to a packed audience, joining a lineup of veteran artists on the annual rock-focused voyage. This performance follows a show at L’Auberge Casino Resort in Louisiana, where the band surprised fans by playing two classic KISS tracks written by former KISS guitarist Ace Frehley.

The current lineup of the Gene Simmons Band includes Simmons on bass and lead vocals, Jason Walker and Brent Woods on guitars and vocals, and Brian Tichy on drums and vocals. The band's performances showcase a more intimate and stripped-down approach to the KISS catalog, moving away from the grand spectacle associated with the band's arena shows. Simmons has emphasized the simplicity and efficiency of his solo touring model, highlighting the financial benefits of a scaled-back operation.

Born Chaim Witz in Haifa in 1949, Simmons co-founded KISS in 1972 and has since become a prominent figure in the music industry and beyond. His entrepreneurial ventures extend to entertainment, merchandising, and consumer products, including the recent launch of his MoneyBag soda line. As the Gene Simmons Band continues its 2026 tour, Simmons remains dedicated to efficiency, reinvention, and maintaining control over his music and business endeavors.
