Man Charged in Road Rage Shooting Incident in Crossville, Tennessee

A man from Crossville, Tennessee, has been charged following a road rage incident and shooting that occurred on Friday afternoon, as reported by the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office. Jon Kadan Johnson, 20, is facing one count of aggravated assault. The incident took place when two individuals were stopped at a red light and a pickup truck with a trailer started honking at them. The situation escalated as the white truck cut off the victims' vehicle, potentially causing damage with its trailer, and the driver fired a handgun at them. The driver then fled the scene, but was later identified as Johnson by deputies. Johnson admitted to pointing the gun at the victims and firing it into the ground before attempting to conceal the truck and discard the weapon. Deputies recovered the handgun and found additional ammunition and accessories in the truck. Johnson's bond has been set at $15,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on March 9.

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office emphasized the dangers of road rage incidents and urged the public to avoid confrontations with aggressive drivers, advising them to contact law enforcement if they feel threatened. The office stated that the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
