Police Investigate Incidents at Old Firm Derby: Arrests Made and Charges Laid
The police are investigating an incident where a Celtic fan allegedly mocked the Ibrox disaster during the Old Firm derby. Several arrests were made in connection with various incidents that occurred during the match between Rangers and Celtic at Ibrox. An 18-year-old man was arrested and charged with assault and is set to appear in Glasgow Sheriff Court. Another 18-year-old was arrested and charged for possessing a sectarian flag and will also appear in court on Monday. A 26-year-old man was arrested for drugs offences and released on an undertaking to appear in court later. Additionally, a 28-year-old man was arrested for drugs offences and given a recorded police warning. Another 28-year-old man was arrested for assault and issued a recorded police warning. Lastly, a 28-year-old man was arrested and charged with assault, released on an undertaking to appear in court at a later date. Both Rangers and Celtic have been approached for comments.
