Violent Crime Reduction Initiative Leads to Arrests in Cincinnati: Firearms and Methamphetamine Seized

Two individuals were taken into custody in Cincinnati for allegedly possessing illegal firearms and methamphetamine pills. The arrests were made as part of a violent crime reduction initiative involving Cincinnati Police and the Ohio State Highway Patrol. The incident occurred on Feb. 27 when law enforcement stopped a 2025 Kia Telluride for crossing a double yellow line on East Liberty Street. Adrian Hill, 20, and James White, 21, were apprehended after authorities discovered two firearms, one of which had an illegal switch modification, and methamphetamine pills inside the vehicle. Hill and White faced charges related to firearms possession and possession of a dangerous ordinance, with Hill also facing drug possession charges. These arrests were part of a broader effort to combat violent crime in Dayton and Cincinnati, resulting in eight felony arrests in the two cities last week. Ohio Governor Mike DeWine emphasized the importance of collaborative law enforcement efforts in reducing violent crime, highlighting the effectiveness of joint operations in removing violent offenders and illegal firearms from the streets.
