The countdown to the 2026 FIFA World Cup has begun, with only 100 days left until the tournament kicks off. The North Texas FWC Organizing Committee, along with the City of Frisco and City of Mansfield, announced the teams that will be training in North Texas before the tournament. Toyota Stadium in Frisco will host the winner of the UEFA Playoff B pathway, which includes Poland, Albania, Sweden, and Ukraine. Mansfield Stadium will be the base camp for the winner of the UEFA Playoff D pathway, consisting of Denmark, North Macedonia, Czechia, and the Republic of Ireland.

Dan Hunt, President of FC Dallas and Co-Chair of the North Texas FWC Organizing Committee, expressed pride in North Texas being selected as Team Base Camp Training Sites. Saudi Arabia has also announced that they will train in Austin at Q2 Stadium. The UEFA playoff qualifiers will take place on March 26 and March 31, with the winners joining specific groups in the tournament.

Mansfield Mayor Michael Evans highlighted the city's excitement to host teams and showcase Southern hospitality during the training sessions. The Cotton Bowl and SMU are designated as venue-specific training sites for teams leading up to their matches at AT&T Stadium. The FIFA World Cup will commence on June 11, with the first match in DFW scheduled between the Netherlands and Japan on June 14. North Texas is gearing up to welcome top teams and players from around the world for this prestigious event.
