God of War TV Show: Designer David Jaffe Critiques First Look Image, Acknowledges Show's Potential

The designer of the popular video game series God of War has shared his thoughts on the first look at the upcoming TV adaptation on Prime Video. David Jaffe criticized the image of Kratos and Atreus hunting in the woods, stating that it made Kratos look like he was defecating. Despite his criticism, Jaffe acknowledged the talent of the show's team, including showrunner Ron Moore.

The image, released by Prime Video on February 27 to announce the production of the God of War TV show, received mixed reactions from fans. Many pointed out inconsistencies with the characters and the visible bald cap on Kratos. Jaffe expressed his disappointment with the portrayal of Kratos in the image, emphasizing that it was not a favorable introduction to the character.

Jaffe clarified that while he found the image to be poorly executed, he still believes in the potential of the show under the guidance of Ron Moore. Actor Ryan Hurst, who plays Kratos in the series, cautioned fans not to judge the show based on the initial image, hinting that it may not represent the final product. Hopefully, Prime Video will take feedback into account for future releases.
